3 Nights / 4 Days · From Dubai & the UAE

Kerala Eid Escape — Kochi, Vagamon & Kumarakom, 4 Days

A short Kerala trip from Dubai built for the Eid break or a long weekend — land in Kochi after a four-hour flight, trade desert heat for Vagamon's misty meadows, and finish drifting on Kumarakom's backwaters before the flight home.

4 Days Kochi · Vagamon · Kumarakom

The journey

A 4 day Kerala package made for UAE calendars

Most Kerala itineraries assume you have a week. This one assumes you have an Eid break. Flights from Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi reach Kochi in about four hours — close enough that a long weekend in God's Own Country is genuinely realistic. So we kept the route tight: one soulful heritage evening, one hill station, one backwater stay, and no marathon drives in between.

Ideal for: UAE residents on an Eid holiday, a public-holiday bridge or any short Kerala trip from Dubai that has to count.

Day by day

Your 4-day itinerary

1
Day 1

Land in Kochi & climb to Vagamon

Met at Cochin International Airport after your morning flight from the UAE, then a scenic 3–3.5 hour drive winding up through rubber and tea estates to Vagamon. Check in, unwind, and catch your first Western Ghats sunset over the meadows.

2
Day 2

Vagamon meadows, pines & adventure

A full highland day: dawn light in the famous pine forest, the rolling grass domes around Kurisumala, Vagamon Lake and the dramatic Suicide Point viewpoint. In season and clear weather, add a tandem paragliding flight with licensed operators — the Kerala highlands' biggest thrill.

3
Day 3

Down to Kumarakom’s backwaters

Descend from the hills to Kumarakom on the shore of Vembanad Lake. Settle into a lakeside stay, then glide through paddy-lined canals on a sunset shikara cruise as kingfishers flash past — the classic Kerala backwater evening.

4
Day 4

Backwater morning & fly home

A slow start — birdsong, a village walk or simply the lake from your veranda — before the easy 1.5–2 hour drive back to Kochi airport for your flight home to the UAE, four days richer.

Good to know

Your Eid escape — frequently asked

Is 4 days enough for a Kerala trip from Dubai?

Yes — the flight from Dubai, Sharjah or Abu Dhabi to Kochi is only around four hours, and most Gulf flights land early in the morning. This route is deliberately compact: one hill station and one backwater stop, with no wasted driving, so a 4 day window feels unhurried.

Is Eid a good time to visit Kerala?

Kerala works year-round, and each Eid falls in a different season as the dates move. October to February brings the crispest weather; June to September is the lush green monsoon. Share your Eid dates on WhatsApp and we’ll shape the itinerary around the season you land in.

Do UAE residents need a visa for Kerala?

Indian passport holders need no visa. Most other nationalities resident in the UAE can apply for an Indian e-Visa online before flying. Requirements change, so check the official Indian e-Visa portal for your nationality’s current rules before booking flights.

Can we extend this trip beyond 4 days?

Easily — every Fetraco journey is tailor-made. Popular extensions add an Alleppey houseboat night, the Munnar tea hills or a Thekkady wildlife day. Tell us how many days you have and we’ll build the route around it.
